The American Red Cross First Aid Training

This eLearning module and accompanying content was created for adult learners as part of ongoing first aid training for the American Red Cross. The target audience for this training is adult learners working towards First Aid certification.

EdApp was used to create an interactive digital training for users. This platform was selected because of its ease of use for both the content creators and users. Learners can access the training module from desktop computers, laptops, and tablets, as well as mobile devices.

Course Content Map

The first step was creating the Course Content Map. Each week focuses on a different aspect of the first aid training.

· Week 1: Checking an Injured or Ill Adult & Conscious/Unconscious Choking

· Week 2: Performing CPR & Using an AED

· Week 3: Controlling External Bleeding & Tending to Burns

· Week 4: Poising, Assessing Strokes, & Managing Head/Neck/Spinal Injuries

Once the Course Content Map was completed, the next step was creating the first week  in EdApp. I wrote all course copy, developed assets for the course, and built the first week in the learning management system.
